If you have a Dr. Brown’s pacifier or teether holder in your home you’ll want to check to see if it’s part of a recall that is affecting 600,000 baby products.

The company announced the recall on Thursday after a choking hazard was found. The pacifiers and teether holders look like animals and have a snap that the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says, “can detach from the pacifier ribbon, posing a choking hazard for young children.”

The holders have been recalled in the U.S. and Canada, if you have this product Dr. Brown’s is encouraging parents to return the product to the company’s distributor, Handi-Craft for a replacement product.

For more than 20 years, Dr. Brown’s has developed products that promote good health for baby – and we take that job very seriously. ? ? That’s why we’re voluntarily recalling all Dr. Brown’s Lovey pacifier & teether holders sold between August 2015 and March 2018. The ribbons that attach the plush toy to the teether or pacifier can fray and/or unravel after repeated use and create a potential choking hazard. The pacifiers included with the holder are not subject to this recall. ? ? We are committed to making this right, and encourage all consumers affected by the recall to first visit our website (click link in bio) for more details and to determine if their product is included in the recall.? ? https://www.drbrownsbaby.com/recall-lovey/ ? ? https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2018/handi-craft-recalls-dr-browns-lovey-pacifier-teether-holders-due-to-choking-hazard? ? www.healthycanadians.gc.ca/recall-alert-ra…/…/66172r-eng.php? ? ? Then, if affected, call us at 1-833-224-7674 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday. We’ll send a replacement Dr. Brown’s Lovey pacifier & teether holder, or, if preferred, a select Dr. Brown’s product of equal or lesser value. ? ? We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this causes. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. ?
