This is such a great feel good story to kick-start your week!

Last week, an 18 year-old man was caught shoplifting at a Walmart in Toronto. The reason behind him stealing is sad, but the outcome is great!

The teenager’s father has been sick, and his family has been suffering through difficult times. So the 18-year-old man was attempting to get a job, when he went to Walmart to steal some clothes for his upcoming interview. The teen did get caught and an officer was sent to arrest him.

When Constable Niran Jeyanesan arrived, he talked with the man and heard his story. The man explained his family was going through tough times and that he wanted to get a job to help out.

Constable Jeyanesan felt bad for the man so he bought him the shirt, tie and socks that he was trying to steal.

“Arresting him [the 18-year-old] wouldn’t have been in the best interests of anyone.”

Constable Jeyanesan has revealed that the young man got the job, and “he is starting Monday!”

“He told me he actually wore the shirt and the tie – I’m just so happy!”
