This Halloween, celebrate spooky season responsibly and locally!

As October 31st approaches, the BC Centre for Disease Control has some tips for a fang-tastic Halloween, while staying spook-tacularly socially distant.

If you are trick-or-treating…

  • Keep to your local neighbourhood
  • Avoid trick-or-treating indoors (in places like malls)
  • Trick-or-treat in small social groups of six people
  • Respect your fellow trick-or-treaters’ physical space

If you are handing out treats…

  • Get creative with how you hand out candy. Use tongs or make a candy slide!
  • Hand out individually packaged treats instead of a shared bowl
  • Wear a non-medical mask or face covering
  • Be more outside than inside
