This month’s ‘one to watch’ artist is Halifax native Famba and he dropped a brand new record called ‘Wish You Well.’

‘Wish You Well’ is a collaboration with Canadian producer Lucky Rose and features vocals from LA’s songwriter and producer, Trove.  Famba says, “When I listen to ‘Wish You Well,’ I hear a much more polished and robust sound, even compared to what I was making just a year ago.  It feels like a personal progress record for me.”  In its first three weeks following its release, ‘Wish You Well’ was streamed more than 240K times.

Famba who is known to be a DJ, producer and EDM artist began his career in 2016.  He fell in love with EDM music when his father introduced him to Canadian hitmaker Deadmau5 and since then, has combined his love for both pop and dance and has created unforgettable melodies like ‘Wish You Well.’

As Earmilk explains, “The acoustic-laden “Wish You Well” is a heart-wrenchingly pure song, incredibly evocative and instantly relatable. Driven with the classic effervescence of pop music, the artists combine their multi-faceted talents for a dazzling track that illuminates the authentic feelings conveyed through the simple yet robust lyrics. The visuals for “Wish You Well” reflect the nostalgia-induced lyricism; made up of short clips, the video follows Famba as he walks through places that hold immense memories of his once-significant other, a symbol of moving on with his life. The transitions between wide-screen to square frames helpfully shows us when we’re wading through memories or the present, effectively tying in the message with ease and simplicity.”
