Disney Reveals Brand New Previews of 'Star Wars Land' and It's SO. GOOD.

The countdown is on until next summer’s grand opening of Disneyland’s “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge” interactive theme park expansion and we hope you’re sitting down for the latest news.

First, new details and footage of the 2 brand new rides!

From Disney Parks’ Blog:

“Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, puts guests behind the controls of the most famous ship in the galaxy in one of three unique flight crew roles.”

“Our second attraction, which puts guests in the middle of an epic battle between the Resistance and the First Order, is called Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. As you can see from this video, which was shot in the actual attraction, both the stakes, and the excitement are running high in this epic Star Wars cliffhanger!”

Yes…that commercial was shot IN THE ACTUAL ATTRACTION. Even if you’re not a huge Star Wars fan, you’ve gotta admit the immersion and attention to detail is mind-blowing. It feels like you’re actually walking right into a scene from the movies!!

But wait…there’s more! If you use the Play Disney Parks app on the rides, you can live out your own Star Wars storyline with an added interactive integrated experience.

Finally, official music for the land has been released- composed by the legendary John Williams! Here’s the park’s theme song, which includes new construction progress of this massive new theme park expansion.

Galaxy’s Edge opens at the Disneyland Resort in the summer of 2019, and subsequently opens at Florida’s Walt Disney World Resort in the fall of 2019.
