Kendrick Lamar was the center of attention today at the Pulitzer Prize ceremony at Columbia University in New York.

The most influential people in the world flocked the rapper from Compton for a picture during the luncheon at Columbia University. He received the award for his amazing album “Damn”.

The buzz about Kendrick Lamar being in attendance was so anticipated that the Pulitzer’s administrator didn’t even give Kendrick a chance to get in the building before welcoming him to the event.

This award makes him the first non-classical or jazz artist to win the prize since the award was started to be given for music in 1943.
