It’s the thought that counts, right? Well the “thought” may have sent a rather awkward message when a well-meaning 74-year-old grandmother bought this glittery purple Christmas ornament for her granddaughter.

On the surface, it blends in quite well with the other ornaments on the tree.

Until you pop it open.

My 74 year old grandmother bought Christmas baubles in Dunnes Stores, which I have just realised upon decorating her tree that unbeknownst to her upon purchase, they are in fact, lavender glitter G-strings.
