Kim & Kanye Are Reportedly Expecting Baby Number 3!

According to People, the surrogate whom Kim Kardashian and Kanye West hired to carry baby numero three is pregnant! With the Duchess of Cambridge announcing her pregnancy on Monday, this week has been chock-full of royal baby announcements because let’s be real: the Kardashian-Wests are straight royalty.

Kim has been uber vocal about her difficult pregnancies with both North, 4, and Saint, 1. She had to deliver North six weeks early due to pre-eclampsia, a condition which reduces the blood flow to the uterus and causes mom’s blood pressure to skyrocket. As well, while pregnant with both North and Saint, Kim’s placenta grew too deeply into the uterine wall, a complication also known as placenta accrete.

Earlier this year, Kim required surgery to repair a hole in her uterus, after which her doctor confirmed that it would not be safe for her to carry a third baby. Eager to expand her family, Kim was seen for the duration of season 13 of Keeping Up with the Kardashians researching other options—including surrogacy.

After exploring the possibility of one of her sisters carrying the baby, Kim and Kanye decided to hire a non-family surrogate, and apparently, she’s pregnant! A source told People that, “Kim had been looking for a surrogate for months until recently when she found the perfect candidate. They want everything to be perfect and for the baby to be extremely healthy. They don’t want any complications and Kim is providing an ideal eating regimen and diet so everyone knows what the baby is consuming before it’s born.” Absolutely no pressure, right?
