An All-Female Lord of the Flies Remake Has the Internet Outraged.

Did you ever have to read “Lord of the Flies” in school? Bunch of kids left to fend for themselves on an island and everything went to hell.

If you were too lazy to actually read the William Golding novel, you might know there was a movie version of the classic, which came out in 1963. It’s just been revealed that Warner Brothers has decided to do another film adaptation of the novel..with a major twist:

All of the boys stranded on the island without their parents will be girls.

The gender-flipped film began trending on Twitter soon after the announcement, with many questioning whether the same thing would have happened if a bunch of young women were left to their own devices.

An all women remake of Lord of the Flies makes no sense because… the plot of that book wouldn’t happen with all women.
