Hard to believe that it was just a month ago that Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington passed away and his loss continues to be felt by fans worldwide and artists in the music industry.

Over the weekend while headlining V Festival in the UK, JAY-Z decided to pay tribute to Chester by closing out his set with a performance of “Numb/Encore’ – off his 2004 collaborative album with Linkin Park, Collision Course.

“Can you guys light it up for Chester from Linkin Park one time tonight…Please make some noise so he can hear you all the way in heaven tonight” Jay told the crowd.

Chester tragically committed suicide late last month.

Chester last performed with Linkin Park at the Barclaycard Arenea in England back on July 6th and below you can check out video of the band perform ‘Papercut’, and ‘Bleed It Out’; songs from the band’s debut studio album Hybrid Theory and 2007 project Minutes to Midnight respectively.

In a few weeks, Hov will co-heading his Made in America Festival (along with J-Cole) on September 2-3 in Philadelphia, before embarking on his 4:44 tour, which kicks off in October.
