The Pixar-like short will give you all the feels as you watch the teen love story unfold.

If this animated short doesn’t make you go “awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww” before the end, you might not have a heart.

The touching animated short In a Heartbeat, which tells a charming story of young love, has taken the internet by storm, garnering nearly 7 million views since it was uploaded to YouTube earlier this week. At first glance, you might the film is the work of Pixar, the experts at giving us all of the feels in a short amount of time, and usually without even speaking a word.

The four minute short film has everything a good love story needs, a main character, the object of their affection, and the struggle to contain those feelings, coupled with the drama of the fear of possible rejection. What makes this story unique is the portrayal of two male characters, instead of the typical heterosexual scenario we’re used to see in movies, especially in animated ones.  It’s so great to see different dynamics being depicted through animation and shows that love deserves fair representation in all of it’s forms.

“The original pitch was a story between a boy and a girl,” Beth David, one of the creators, told NBC News. “But it wasn’t until we made it about a same-gender crush that the idea really started to take form and resonate with Esteban [Bravo] and I. We realized that we had something that could potentially be really special to us.”

Surprisingly, In A Heartbeat is the work of two students and is quickly getting a lot of attention. It was created by filmmakers Beth David and Esteban Bravo, as a project at the Ringling College of Art and Design. David and Bravo raised more than $14,000 on Kickstarter to finance the making of the film last December. When the first trailer for the short debuted in the spring, the clip alone was viewed over one million times.

The release of the full film has prompted a flood of social media responses and fan art. The Human Rights Campaign tweeted a link to the short and encouraged followers to watch, saying, “We can all relate to this.”
