He may have one of the biggest collaborations right now with Bieber, Quavo, Chance the Rapper and Lil’ Wayne (“I’m the One”), but DJ Khaled got no love at the Electric Daisy Carnival in Vegas. Some festivalgoers took to Twitter to explain the situation behind the crowd turning on the rapper:

“His DJ played like 12 seconds each song and backspinned. Then Khaled proceeded to shout “HOLD UP” and “DJ KHALED” all the time

One of the cringiest things I’ve ever seen Jesus

One review says “He didn’t adapt his schtick at all for the dance music crowd. He dropped into a track for a few seconds, cut it, talked on the mic, yelled out his catchphrases, and that’s about it.”

But maybe it’s not fair to pin the awkward performance on DJ Khaled. After his set was met with loud boo’s from an uncomfortable crowd and cut short, the Snapchat & Instagram star took to social, claiming the festival “sabotaged” his set with technical glitches.

Deadmau5, aka Joel Zimmerman, commented on the unfortunate situation:
