A car is never just a car. If you have a pulse, and breathe air, at some point in life you’ve owned a car that was (or may still be) considered family. Whether you named it or not, it was a part of your life for a moment in time and it’s an emotional connection that doesn’t fade easily.

Kanye West thought he said it best with the mantra “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” on his song about how striving to be #1 is everything. He forgot to mention that having heart can take you places, over roads less travelled on the path to success. Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) and the boys are back for part three of the Cars thrill-ogy and this time, a whole new crop of souped up sassy supercars have joined the race circuit staking their claim to race supremacy, namely a passive aggressive newcomer by the name of Jackson Storm (voiced by Armie Hammer) who wants to give our hero a run for his money.

At the onset of the film we discover that our boy McQueen has seen better days, and #95 is well aware he isn’t as slick on slicks as he used to be, but he’s not gonna let this newbie and his friends lap him without a fight. He enlists old pals, a new trainer, and a new owner to help him get back to racing shape before the big day.

Disney and Pixar go together like Sriracha and anything on the BBQ, so prepare for a 200 mile an hour ride full of endless fun, laughs, emotional hairpin turns, unexpected twists, flips and tricks at that will leave you glued with bated breath through 3D lenses for the better part of 120 minutes.
