Game of Thrones will finally return on July 16th and in the first official trailer for season seven, it looks like things are going to get messy.

SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU’RE NOT FULLY CAUGHT UP

But seriously if you’re not, what’re you doing with your life?!

The fight for the Iron Throne appears to kick into full gear in this new trailer, but as Ser Davos warns, “if we don’t put aside our enmities and band together, we will die. And then it doesn’t matter whose skeleton sits on the Iron Throne.”

This first official trailer finally gives us some new footage of the upcoming season and although it’s only 2 minutes, it’s easy to see that there is going to be a LOT of carnage across the seven kingdoms this season.

We get quick glimpses of almost every core character and how they will play a role in the fate of Westeros and beyond the wall.

Cersei has her work cut out for her as she states that the Lannisters have enemies from all directions.

To the North: Jon Snow is firming up his grip as “King of the North,” as Littlefinger encourages Jon’s half-sister Sansa to look for opportunities now that she is — somewhat improbably, after all she’s been through — one of the last Starks still standing.

Looking to the east, Daenerys Targaryen is marching her army towards Kings Landing — and as the trailer shows us, paying a visit to a what looks to be a formidable new castle (perhaps Storm’s End?).

We also see glimpses of everyone from Unsullied soldier Grey Worm, staring into the sun, to Melisandre, staring out onto the ocean, to Theon — or is it Reek? — staring into a fire. We even get to see a quick cameo for Arya hanging out somewhere snowy.

No clue where Brom is at though, but I’m sure we’ll see a glimpse of him as more trailers are released.

Brace yourself, Season 7 returns to HBO this July.
