(UPDATE: The staff joined Mornings with Kevin and Sonia on-air today to talk about the surprise encounter with Liam – listen to the full interview below!)

The staff at New Westminster’s Big Star Sandwich Co. said it best: “Holy f**k, it worked!”

When they heard Liam Neeson was filming his new movie “Hard Powder” across the street, the New West restaurant planted a simple piece of bait for the “Taken” star: a sign offering a free meal to Liam.

He. Showed. Up.

OMG!

We chatted with Alex, Director of Operations for Big Star Sandwich Co., who took us through what happened when the actor surprised the staff, and what they plan on doing next for their ‘magic sign’:

Judging by the success of this, don’t be surprised if you see more places try similar offers.

By the way, Liam will be here filming until May 24th so you might run into him too!
