You have GOT to be KIDDING ME!

If you’ve been online at all this week or last, you may have seen what went down in a Jacksonville, Florida high school that had everyone checking their smartphones to confirm if we’re actually living in 2017 or not. Lily Willingham goes to Stanton College Prep and she was walking down the halls of her school when she spotted some posters about “proper prom wear” for girls heading into the big dance which was only a few sleeps away.

Only one of the four dress options was deemed “acceptable” and the others read: “NO YOU’RE NOT.” because legs and backs were exposed. WT actual F?! So the powers that be at the school think one is appropriate and the rest are not?! Students started making memes and posting them around school and sharing them on social media and the story blew up across North America:

The school finally did something about it.

FOUR

No teacher or school admin is admitting who put the posters up, but they’ve taken one step in the right direction by removing them. Prom went as scheduled with everyone allowed to wear what they pleased and had already purchased long before. Can you believe this actually went down? Insane right?!
