Last week, McDonald’s rolled out All-Day Breakfast across Canada (cue “WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!” memes) and now another game-changing announcement: McDelivery. Yes, if you have a craving you may soon no longer need to take that 2 minute drive to the closest Golden Arches because a filing by the fast food chain yesterday indicated that it’s experimenting with 3rd party delivery services in Florida with hopes to soon introduce it to the rest of the US and Canada.

…with the explosive growth in third-party delivery companies, the landscape has created an exceptional opportunity for growth,” according to the document. “No other food company in the world has this reach and ability to be this convenient to so many customers through delivery,” the company said.

Nearly 75% of Canadians live within 5km of a McDonald’s. “Because of our extraordinary footprint, McDonald’s is uniquely positioned to become the global leader in delivery.

If you’re reading this and thinking it’s a new idea, it’s not. In fact, McDonald’s introduced delivery in China 9 years ago and also delivers in South Korea, and Singapore. In the markets where they’ve rolled it out, the service has been very successful; they raked in close to $1 billion last year in delivery sales.

And now the biggest question on a lot of our minds….

Won’t the fries get all soggy  by the time it gets to you???

That said, one of our long-distance KiSS listeners gives it great reviews:
