We had an exclusive first look at GHOST IN THE SHELL last night at Silvercity Riverport in Richmond. The film opens on March 31, and oh boy, this one will be something else! Stay tuned as we present the FULL advanced screening before the movie is released here on www.kissradio.ca.

Based on the Japanese manga of the same name, Ghost in the Shell gives the impression that the full length live-action adaptation will be remarkable.
From a privileged sneak peak of the film, it will be worth going to see for the visual effects alone. The scenes are very vivid with a great use of 3D that makes it feel as if you are truly in the picture without feeling overdone.
The futuristic setting is a delectable treat for the eyes that is reminiscent of movies such as Blade Runner, yet still completely original.
Scarlett Johansson stars as The Major, a cyborg who combats terrorism, cyber criminals, and hackers with her task force Section 9. She is the first of her kind, possessing a human brain equipped with a robot body. The film explores themes that will be of great significance in the near future, such as artificial intelligence, the integration of new technology in society, and the consequences that result from our new digital world. Ghost in the Shell reveals what could happen when humanity and technology truly merge.
The film promises to draw from Ghost in the Shell’s pre-existing material and honour the series’ creator Masamune Shirow.
