By now we’ve all heard that the Samsung Note 7 was a bust (pun intended, read HERE and HERE in case you hadn’t already heard). So, we know that the next phone needed to bring something else to the table to get consumers excited, and they may have done just that.

According to ET News, Samsung are preparing to unveil a front-facing camera that will have autofocus, as opposed to other Galaxy phones that have a fixed focus feature.

What does this mean?

Well, the idea is that it will “allow for better focus on objects that are located at varying distances in the photograph”.

This move makes sense for Samsung considering that popular social media apps like Instagram and Snapchat use front-facing cameras on their mobile devices.
