The Toronto-based group, known for their amazing covers, tackles the #1 streaming song in Canada with their amazing rendition of “Closer.”

Walk Off the Earth teased yesterday that they were releasing a brand new cover and they didn’t disappoint!

The “Red Hands” group busted out the drums, guitars, ukulele’s and kazoos for a fantastic cover of The Chainsmokers’ latest single with Halsey, “Closer.”

The video starts out with everyone, except Mike Taylor (the guy with the glorious beard), with their backs turned to the camera while Mike works on what appears to be a painting.

Slowly, all four musicians turn around while they sing and play instruments. They even take it to the next level with some sort of four-man kazoo contraption.

That thing would be a serious hit at parties.

 

If you haven’t heard of Walk Off The Earth, you might know them for the cover that launched their career in 2011. The five peeps, one guitar cover of Goyte’s “Somebody that I Used to Know”:

Following the massive success of “Roses” and “Don’t Let Me Down,” The Chainsmokers third release off of their latest album has been the hottest track to date. The song was released on July 29th and since then has reached number one in the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia, making it both The Chainsmokers’ and Halsey’s first number-one single in all four countries.

 at Billboard said the song sounds like “And instant classic” and we couldn’t agree more.
