Google Maps Might Soon Reveal Vacant Parking Spots

Never search for parking again! The newest Google Maps update is set to include an ingenious new feature that will reveal parking availability data.

The beta version of Google Maps v9.34 has just been pre-released on Android and this is just one of a few improvements.

The categories are broken up into three  groups: easy, medium, and hard. There’s no indication of where the data comes from and nothing to indicate that variables like time of day or specific events will play into the equation.

Instead, this may simply be a measure of how much parking there is in an area – not exactly where the vacant spots are.
