This weekend the skies over the lower mainland will be extra special as the annual Lyrid meteor shower will be taking place from April 21 to 23.

The meteor shower already started last weekend and will continue through the end of April, peak hours will begin the evening of Saturday, April 21 and extend through the morning of Sunday, April 22 (Earth Day).

You don’t need special equipment to see the shower, you just have to get out of the city a bit and away from all the lights.

Grab some friends, blankets, snacks, drinks and head out this weekend and enjoy the light show!!
