This shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, sometimes biting into a creme egg can literally make your teeth hurt. One British mother’s Facebook photo has gone viral when she showed exactly how much sugar is inside one Cadbury Creme Egg:

Usually a 150-calorie egg like the one shown here has above has 26.5 grams of sugar. That’s just over 3 teaspoons of sugar in each egg. Some of the comments on the Facebook post don’t seem to mind.

“Claire Curtis What a surprise that a fondant filled chocolate egg is filled with sugar and not cabbage or quinoa!! I feel so misled!”

“Anne Penton Last Easter I bought 3 of the boxes x12 for my 3 grandchildren and I ate them all myself ! I couldn’t help it ….36 …I am not going to be tempted this year …????”
