After almost a year of rumours, Niantic – the company that created Pokemon GO! – has officially announced that they are working on the follow up that will be set in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It will use augmented reality to help create the magical world in your own space.

The working title is Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, and Niantic has been working closely with Warner Bros to develop it. Details are still extremely scarce, but we can expect the app to debut in 2018. They’ve even created a brand new division to work on the game with a familiar magical name, Portkey Games.

Will you play the new GO! based Harry Potter game? Or will the novelty wear out as it did for many in Pokemon Go?
