This is insane.

It is on pace to be one of the worst wildfire seasons in British Columbia. This week, smoke has started to make its way into Vancouver and the lower mainland. Now, the smoke can be seen from SPACE.

There are over 155 wildfires burning in BC, at least fifteen of those are threatening communities. Over 36,000 citizens have been displaced due to the fires.

NASA has published photos that show just how devastating the wildfires have been.

This photo was taken on July 15 showing an area just north of Kamloops, shows smoke rising from many of the wildfires burning.

Smoke from the BC wildfires has reached as far as Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

BC Wildfire Services says they have responded to 657 fires since April 1st. The fires have burned a total of 188,000 hectares so far.
